How your APS is worked out
- Each subject mark converts to points from 1 to 7: 80–100% = 7, 70–79% = 6, 60–69% = 5, 50–59% = 4, 40–49% = 3, 30–39% = 2, below 30% = 1.
- Most universities exclude Life Orientation from the total, so both figures are shown, use the one your institution asks for.
- A distinction is any subject at 80% or above.
- This is a guide. Every institution sets its own APS requirements and some weight subjects differently, always confirm on the institution’s own site.
